This form may also be used for a name or address change within Sullivan County
Anyone who registers by mail must vote in person the first time he or she votes after registering.

You may register if you:

  • Are a U.S. citizen

  • Will be at least 18 years of age by the next election

  • Are a legal resident of Sullivan County

  • Have not been convicted of a felony or have had your rights restored

  • The registration deadline is 30 days prior to Election Day.

  • You do not register by political party in Tennessee

  • You must re-register to vote if you:

  • Move outside your county

  • Move within the county but fail to transfer your registration and do not vote for two November general elections

  • Have had full rights restored by court order or pardon

  • Locations where voter registration forms are readily available:

    The Sullivan County Election Office in Blountville
    U.S. Post Offices
    All City Halls
    Public Libraries
    The Department of Safety
    Department of Human Services
    Military Recruiting Offices
    Sullivan County Health Department
    County Clerk Office
    Register of Deeds Office

    Voter registration forms that are not properly completed will be rejected.
    Reasons for rejecting Voter Registrations include:

    Forms with any deficiency
    Missing social security number, signature, date of birth etc.
    Completing the form in pencil instead of ink

    After the Election Office processes the registration form, you will be mailed a Voter Registration I.D. card. You are not registered to vote until you receive a Voter Registration Card.
